You couldn't make this up...the washing machine has malfunctioned and shredded my pants. There is total devastation in the drum. Gussets have become wedged in the workings. I am reduced to wearing bits of string. This does not augur well.

I have heard that they do have shops 'oop north' and I do believe that they sell pants, they must do, surely....

What I love about my fellow bloggers is that they always come up with a solution. And you simply can't argue with that sort of value for money...but non-woven...is that a euphemism for paper, as it does rain where we're going and sodden underpinnings could be very unfortunate...
Not only no pants, no waterproof trousers either! does A let you have any money at all?
Oh, I know, it's all going on vet's bills...
