This reminds me of my student days - the morning after a party. The only difference is I probably had a little more floor space left between the snorers!
Aha, your cunning plan is revealed. 1. Buy the dogs 'double-beds', 2. Convince A that it is a shame to waste money/resource/space
3. Rescue 5 more Greys to fill bed space.

Blue is demanding a proper bed for the boat like your dogs have (Lou has the sofa so considers a dog bed to be beneath her dignity. Do you happen to know the dimensions of your gargantuan beds? We trying to balance the size of the dog against the narrow space available!

48" x 36" ! They are very squidgy so can be crammed into any area. It is quite difficult to get the dogs out of them though...I advise getting a cushion pad for underneath the sheepskinny cushion as it's soft but a bit on the thin side. Big ovals are available from Pets at Home
